I think after doing a lot of paintings that have

quite a lot going on in them I have a

need to paint some simpler subjects.

It’s a ying and yang sort of thing and a need

for a little bit of calm. Also my favourite

time in our own garden is May as we have

apple and pear trees, so I love it when

finally the blossom appears.
