All the artist’s studios are open at the same time as the Printed and Bound Fair at Sunny Bank Mills, so come and see my studio in The Twisting just follow the signs from the car park up the hill towards the Mending Rooms
This is my annual sale of sketches and unframed paintings toraise money for charity. All works are unframed and can be posted or collected. There will be as ever some real bargains and 50 % of all sales will go to the Maggie’s Centre Charity that support people through the hardest times of their lives. The first one was in Edinburgh and we have visited it through Polly’s treatment recently
My Studio is in The Twisting Studios at Sunny Bank Mills will be open from Friday 12-8pm PLEASE NOTE the Christmas Market opens at 2-8pm
On saturday and Sunday opening hours are 10-4pm.
I will be in the studio for all three days we decorate our studios and have a Christmas Raffle and offer free mince pies and tea so we look forward to seeing you. Polly our daughter will be in the Christmas Market in the 1912 building with our Garden Project collaboration. So please look out for our Nel x Polly Stand too !
This is always a lovely weekend as you can book on to tours of the mill and see parts normally hidden from view, as well as visit all the Artist’s studios that are open.

This promises to be a really fabulous event, with talks, events and workshops across the mill, celebrating all things textile. I will be showing some of my quilts as well as new paintings and new products from The Garden Project my collaboration with our daughter Polly Rose.
Leeds Artist Nel Whatmore whose studios is in the Twisting Studio at Sunny Bank Mills Farsley is opening her studio on the 1st and 2nd April when the Printed and Bound fair is on
The Mayne Gallery will be exhibiting my work on Stand A4 at the Affordable Art Show , Battersea , London for four days if you’d like to pop along and see Jane and Emily !
This is a particularly exciting Open Studio as Polly our daughter and I are collaborating on a project called The Garden Project, we have both inspired by each other to produce a collection of patterns and they will be on sale for the first time at the Christmas Fair in the 1912 building at Sunny Bank Mills and in my studio at the same time.It is Polly’s first stall so it would be lovely if you could find the time to come and support us xxx
It is the wonderful Heritage Open Weekend when lots of places all over the country that are not usually open for visitors open their doors. So there are tours of the mills by John and William Gaunt who own the mill and you will weable to visit lots of the other businesses in the mill including our new wool shop and haberdashers, micro brewery, Gallery and tea shop.
There will be a lot going on in Farsley this weekend so the Mill should be a wonderful place to be. More details to follow.
The Rose and Brown Vintage Fair is always a lovely event down in the Old Woollen which is right by the main car park. I will be opening my studio as usual. I will keep you posted as to how best to find me !

It’s Christmas Fair again at the Mill with the Old Woollen full of wonderful handmade gifts the artists studios are open and there will be lots of good cheer as always

I am looking forward to returning to Chantry House Gallery this time for a Summer Show. So I am working towards that now, so the work will be revealed nearer to the time!

My studio will be open form 10-4pm this May Bank Holiday weekend. It’s full of lots of paintings of my garden and lovely bursts of colour as well as atmospheric landscapes from around the UK. I will be there each day also there is lots to see at the mill as we now have an out door gallery, the Weavers Yard is finished and several of the other businesses are open too including the Art Rooms, the Sunny Bank Mill’s new exhibition ‘Ones to Watch’ starts and there will be food from Farsely Fire and Smoke so a great day out !
As I ‘ve had all my shows cancelled I’m opening up my studio more regularly to visitors . So the first time this year is this Saturday so hope to see you there!

My studio in the Twisting Gallery at Sunny Bank Mills, will be open over the weekend if you want to See what I am up to currently , have a cuppa and see where I work. The Vintage fair is also on in The Old Woollen which is always interesting. So art, tea/ coffee and cake basically…. sounds like a nice day out !
STAND EA477 I am returning to Chelsea Flower Show after two years . So that’s exciting ! I am painting for it now and panning as it does get all consuming. I am not sure whether this will be my last Chelsea… I am going to make a decision about that after the show. Hope to see you there but you do need to GET TICKETS NOW !
I will be showing all the paintings from my 'Year in the Garden' for the first time at the RHS Harlow Carr Garden annual flower show. All the paintings will be in the Lodge by the Lake and I will be there everyday from 9.30-6.30pm. There will be a poetry trail around the garden as I have also written a poem for each painting I have produced. The paintings will then move to Chantry House Gallery, near Ripley, north of Harrogate, about 20 minutes away, for a month. So don't worry if you miss the flower show you will be able to see the whole collection including special prints and cards there for a month.
