The secret to painting well I find is to aim to create the most dramatic effect with the least amount of effort. It is the less is more thing! This small original painting is from my trip to the Scottish Highlands to paint around the far western shores and the Outer Hebrides. It is in pastel and I hope conveys a little of what I felt when I was there.
