I started painting these jugs to get me threw recovering from breast cancer. It has meant that even through difficult times I could still be creative and also have something nice to look forward to each week, be it painting a jug or seeing one come out of the kiln. Jess at Clayfever in Tadcaster has become a lovely friend and has helped me keep painting all through lock down as she gave me a take home kit. I am going to keep going as I am slightly addicted to it now , I have just launched #allabouttheteacups too. Many thanks to all of you who have bought a jug and many of you who now collect them. You are absolutely MARVELLOUS. You have helped me, and my family through another tricky chapter and now also through a pandemic. Thank you xxx
I’ve been to the beautiful Japanese Garden at Cowden just north of Edinburgh with Polly. It is profoundly calm and beautiful which is just what we needed.
Here are a few pics of it painted before it’s been fired as I have had to leave it up at the pottery where Polly works for them to fire it. So I should get it back when I return in about 10 days . It’s a homage to our lovely day xx
