BILSTON & BATTERSEA lead the world in ensuring that the Georgian art of enamelling is not only preserved but rejuvenated. These gorgeous bangles , bracelets and treasure boxes have been crafted by hand in Bilston, not far from where I was born. They are really collector pieces. The skill of enamelling on copper virtually disappeared during the 19th Century with only a small number of craftsmen surviving in the Bilston area. BILSTON & BATTERSEA ENAMELS were able to draw on this knowledge and the age old traditions handed down through generations. I feel very privileged to be working with them. These are the first bangles and boxes to be produced with new designs planned for January 2010.
